Johannes Eccard's Christmas Double Choir O Freude über Freud is included as number 9 in the edition "First Part of the Prussian Festival Songs, from Advent to Easter, with 5.6.8 votes". The first edition of this print was published in 1642 by Wendelin Bodenhausen in Elbing. The text is attributed to Georg Reiman.
