The three-part song settings included in this edition are taken from the Songs of Sundrie Natures collection published in XNUMX. In this collection, the composer William Byrd (ca. XNUMX – XNUMX) presented both secular and sacred vocal works with English texts. In addition to the three-part songs in this collection, there are also songs for four, five and six voices.

The three-part compositions printed in this modern edition can be performed by a vocal ensemble, with recorders (SAT), in a viol trio or with other instruments. A vocal/instrumental combination is also very lovely.
